Southern Brazil for Adventurers was founded by Vitorli Machado and Anthony Ippolito while Anthony was doing research on plants in remote areas of Southern Brazil in the mid 1990’s.  The family welcomed Anthony into their bed and breakfast and home and adopted him as the only North American member of their family.  After many conversations around the fire in the barn, Vitorli and Anthony decided to develop a business that would promote this culturally rich and ecologically diverse region to the traveling world. 

      Our tours are built on personal experiences with the people of the regions; you will not find our tours in any big commercial travel guide. We only take small groups on our tours which enhances interactions with local people and more intimate experiences with nature.
